Is is possible to use bookmark folder with custom button

Hi,
I have an old computer and 15 inch monitor. Since the computer is old I do not wish to use Speed Dials as thumbnails consumes lot of memory.
So I was thinking if I can use folder in my bookmarks with a custom button so that when I click it shows me list of my favorite sites. Though there is a top 10 button but it doesn't gives the desired results and I can have more than 10 favorite sites.

Although I can creates a new menu listing my favorite site and then use a custom button to show the hidden pop up menu, but it is fixed any addition, removal or modification requires editing of menu.ini file.

I can have a folder placed on bookmark bar, but again it takes up space and requires it to be always on, show when needed button doesn't seems to work.

So does anyone knows how do I get the desired behavior? The best solution would be to have a text and links based Speed Dial.
I am using Opera 12 Build 1155 on Windows XP machine with 1.2 GB RAM

Please let me know if you need additional information.

Thanks and Regards.

You could make a shortcut to show the bookmarks bar for a few seconds only. Use this command in Preferences, shortcuts, Keyboard setup to show it for five seconds. Assign any suitable shortcut you like. I use:

b,b = Set alignment, "personalbar inline", 6 & Delay, 5000 & Set alignment, "personalbar inline", 0
