See if it worth the troubles, probably will, but its pretty boring to customize the skin, set the mail accounts and feeds and to save the passwords again.

im on xp pro. but what tweaks can i do in preferences to speed up browsing speed?please provide links and please explain your last post to me about the profile.. thanks
Delete that folder and run Opera. Opera searches for user information and configuration there, if it the files don't exist, Opera will create the choosing default settings.
What I said early, is that maybe your profile is so old that opera didn't knew how to interpret it, and it became buggy, so reseting your profile (by deleting and running opera) may help to clean up those buggy entries on your configuration.
