Download error when clicking "Open"

Hello there,
i'm experiencing a nasty bug for quite a while now.
When I click "Open" on any download-dialogue Opera's download-manager immediately shows an error.
When I reopen the download-dialogue and click save it's already downloaded and a new file appears within the manager. the old file still persists in the manager.
Resuming the failed download doesn't work either.

Naturally I act on the assumption that it's a problem with my configuration or something, but I don't really know how to determine if it's a Operabug or me.
I reinstalled Opera (without deleting my personal preferences) but that didn't work.

It occured after I switched from Windows 7 prof 32 german to win7 prof 64 english. So, I don't really know if it related to this.

I hope I provided enough information and you can help.

Thanks in advance

It's an Windows permissions issue.
Try and get all things up to date (incl windows) and it disappears. At least, I haven't seen it in version 11.52 yet.

Thanks for your answer.
Windows is up to date. At least windows update doesn't suggest me any updates, besides silverlight, but well, I don't need it wink
I used 11.50, upgraded 11.52 and the problem still exists. So unfortunately, it's not that easy.
Do you have any more information about these permission issues?

Does Opera have any kind of log, where I can look up errors like this? An equivalent to the Event Viewer in Windows.

thanks in advance

Try running opera as administrator

*Type opera: in the url bar to see advanced options.
There is an debugger you might be able to use.
