default email address for outgoing mail
Hello everybody, I have this reoccurring problem with Opera mail and it is sending mail from the wrong email account. I have several email accounts but one I use the most. At the moment the last sent email is the address used my Opera, so of course every once and a while i send emails from the wrong address. Hence the desire to default one email address for new outgoing messages, is it possible and if not where do I request such a feature?Thanks!

There is no way to set a default account for sending messages atm. Opera will always pick the last one used and, for replies, it will use the account on which the message was received.

Do all of them have a "mail address" set on the general tab in the account's properties?
Also, make use of the account selector. It makes composing use the active account.
I'm having the same issues. It's not the last address being used, it's not based on the email address the message is replying to, it's not based on any order I can figure out. I have 3 email accounts and the one in the middle (gmail) is always the one checked. Surely there has to be a way to set a default 'from' email address. I have to change this every time I sent an email, dozens of times a day.

I have solved this problem in a previous version of Opera. I had two accounts but one was 'receive' only, so I deleted all the data in > Account Properties > Servers > Outgoing SMTP server, and then the only available email account to send from was my primary account.
