Moving on to Opera mobile

Tried Opera mobile and don't have the problems I had with mini. But I'm in. a bind trying to import the bookmarks. I created a new link name and password for mobile because I don't have the info from the mini. When I tried to change the mini name and password I got the message all bookmarks would be erased. I uninstalled the mobile and tried to change the mini link info again but got the same info. What do I do now?

what do you mean by u didn't have the info from mini? I use both opera mini and mobile and use the same opera link name for both of them. I think the only way you can import your bookmarks to opera mobile is by using the same name.

I guess it would be easier to ask how to recover your link info. I never saved it.

hmm. So you mean you either forgot your username or password?

Why don't you try to log in via My Opera? Select the forgot password option and enter the email address you had used for your old link name.

They're different. I signed up for my opera long after I made the link. I don't even remember making the link.

you mean you don't even remember that email address? As far as I know, signing up for my opera and opera link is the same thing.

Anyway, there's another option. Open opera mini and turn opera link off. Then turn it on again. When you're asked for user name and password, enter those you had used for opera mobile. After that, open opera mobile and turn opera link on. Make sure that the username and password of opera mini and mobile are the same.

Thanks but that doesn't work. When I attempt to input any info in the mini link I get the message that my phone already has another link and proceeding further will erase all data.

Besides, I've found a way to work around the mini's problems and discovered a few good new browsers. I downloaded "browser switch" and it's easy to change to another browser for the problem sites.

For example, I don't trust mini for filling out forms. Too many times the info got lost, disappeared after filling in the page. Now I just switch to a more stable one.

I am always interested in trying out new browsers. Will you please tell me which browsers you have downloaded ?

I googled both of them. Seems like they're only for android. My phone is symbian. Anyway, thanks for the reply.

Not to worry - they claim all info gleaned from keystroke data are for research....

I may be part of a class action.
