Opera is very CPU instensive under KDE

I think I must start looking towards Firefox, because Opera has gone mad. I don't want to, but I think I have to.
As of now with my 40-50 tabs open Opera uses aprox 20-35% CPU at any given time. The CPU load of Opera has never gone under 15% CPU.

I take it as given that having 40-50 tabs open at any time makes Opera use alot of RAM, but not that much CPU all the time. I don't mind it using lots of RAM, because I have alot of it. However my CPU is a finite resource.

Anyone know a solution to this? Other that use another browser...

NOTE: It is not operapluginwrapper(with flash) that consumes the CPU, but Opera's own process. I have aprox 20-30 tabs on my Win7 workPC where I also use Opera and the CPU load is almost 0% at any time.

It's probably just one or two tabs doing it, which is why I'd like to see something similar to the Chromium tab load viewer in Opera (perhaps along with the ability to suspend tabs or something).

I second that... Would be a nice feature.

It would be brilliant if a tab can be suspended! And of course, a tab load viewer would be also fantastic. I have no idea how easy or difficult that would be, though, since, unlike Chrome, Opera doesn't use a one-tab-one-process model, as far as I know.

I found on my machine that same high CPU usage only happens when I open any google.com webpages.Perhaps you can see if the same applies to you.

I have the same issue with idle opera 11.60 on Ubuntu 11.10 with Unity.
I also figured out that it's javascript at google.com that prevents opera from sleeping.

Get same bug on Opera Next 12.00 alpha build 1174

I have discovered that the culprit was Javascript. When I disabled Javascript Opera's CPU load went down to 10% when it previously was between 25-75%.

Why is does Opera's Javascript engine so CPU intensive under Linux?

Could you please read my post here? It could be related http://my.opera.com/community/forums/findpost.pl?id=11237822
I use Fedora KDE and I have CPU-ram bad usage

***update***
I just saw that if you disable javascript from Opera preferencies, Opera's cpu usage goes down at 1-3%
