Remote DN resolving over SOCKS 5

There is no option for remote dynamic name solving when using SOCKS (5) proxy, so I have to use Firefox in that case instead of my loving Opera.
I'm using local SOCKS 5 proxy over SSH (built by PuTTY connected to remote SSH srv), but adresses are still resolved by local DNS (usage of any other DNS is prohibited here), so I'm not able to use the right one behind my SSH tunnel. Firefox can do it and at this time is the only webbrowser that can do it.
Please implement this functionallity to any of next (near-future) releases. Sometimes it is really usefull smile What do you think?

DNS resolving through SOCKS proxy will be useful.

Would be a really nice option, agreed.

I also agree that this would be a really nice option.
I am forced to use Firefox or Chrome if I want to use a socks proxy from work as DNS resolving through SOCKS proxy is not supported in Opera. DNS2SOCKS ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/dns2socks/ ) might be a workaround for some people but not for me as it would redirect all the DNS queries on my windows PC to the socks proxy and then I won't be able to access my intranet ...
