11.52 upgrade not working please help

I upgraded my version to 11.52 because my version I had was really slow connecting to Opera and loading everything. Opera said that it would be much faster etc. Now I have every problem in the world. Opera not responding, Saving File- c:/Documentand settings/owner/Application Data/opera/opera/bookmarks.adr. An error occurred while checking for a new version of opera. In bottom right hand side of opera page says: upgrade error. Can't locate password folder. I need to save all my details before I uninstall/re-install but don't know how to. I have only a basic knowledge of opera. I have spent hours trying to resolve, even done suggestions on google, but nothing helps. Please can someone help me. Thank you

Install it to a different folder (just click on Options in the dialog) and you'll get a second copy of Opera without your personal data. If this works properly, then you can start copying data over from the first install to the second.

If Opera runs at all, then Help > About Opera will tell you the folder(s) where all your settings are. When copying files, don't copy operaprefs.ini - instead, configure your preferences manually.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I have managed to install a new copy of opera and it works. Please can you tell me how to copy files from old copy to new. Also in old copy my passwords are not visable, they used to be. It just says name of people etc but no password. Someone mentioned wand files but I cannot find them on any of the copies. ( I was silly, did not write my passwords down) !!

Thank you
