How to Rescind a Friend Request

Would someone please advise me how to rescind a friend request? I hastily sent a friend request to someone that did not accept it. Now they bother me. I am unable to block the member. When I go to their profile to block the member, it says pending friend request. The block user option is not available. Any tips on how to block this person from my space and rescind the friendship invitation within the OC?
Enjoy, there's flowers blooming somewhere. heart

You can make the comments and pictures on your site available to friends only'. Then in order to post comments or view pictures he/she has to accept the friend request...then you can block. Also, depending on the nature of the 'bother' you can report a user for violation of TOS.

How does the person 'bother you'? Tell the username of the person.
Windows 7 SP1 x86 edition and Windows XP Service Pack 3.

If she wished, she could tell any of the mods who it is in confidence ... but then again we won't do anything to him without some evidence. A link to one of the offensive comments, etc.

No, it doesn't seem to be offensive comments, browsed her blog and some of the photos - didn't find any instances of offensive comments.
Unfortunately, the word 'bother me' has many possibilities. It can be repeatedly sending PM, posting off-topic comments, posting offensive comments (doesn't seem to be in this case) etc.
Repeated PM need not be spam links it might be 'I don't like your blog/photos' line too.

In case it is spam please report to the appropriate forum thread(with a link to the user who sent you)-

For Private Message (PM) spam report it at:

For blog/photo album comment spam (I might have missed out some comments)-

No, not anyone who wrote here!! Thank you everyone for your instructions. It is much appreciated. In the future, I will be more careful. I was just hoping for a quiet way to rescind the friendship request. I will add this to the post of OPERA WISH LIST. Thank you again, OC Members!
