Multiple proxies
Hey I dare say it but I had to install a secondary browser (right now as I type this I realise I could have just used next),the situation is I work in a school. In school we have harsh proxies to avoid students getting on FB etc, then we have the proxy I use to get unfiltered access to the net. The issue after all that is only the student proxy can access the ticket system and I need the unfiltered proxy to view forums (blocked under i.m category) as a lot of solutions are found there. Can we please have multiple proxies at once and use f12->proxy to choose which one we activate?
Moderator note: renamed from "My wishlist threads haven't got a lot of love but I NEED THIS ". Please use descriptive titles and no shouting.
No need of this, an expert has created a solution to easily switch proxies in Opera-

Not all Opera users are expert or power user, this is difficult for a new and average computer user,so...
We can only wait untill opera update extension system, so that extensions have excess to some browser settings, an extension like "google chrome Switchy" would be handy! and i am waiting this for long time.

Wait a minute - those instructions are very easy to follow even for an average user - as far as he/she understands English completely.

This is not most needed function - most of the world uses one proxy server. The new features are beneficial for ALL Opera users but these small features only please some users and are even possible by modifying Opera's configuration file (just like you did by following that link).
Opera has always been the most customizable browser - just modify the configuration file correctly and get what you want. Isn't it fantastic and unique from other browsers?

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but I figure someone else might run into the same problems I did. This post refers to the state of things with Opera 11.61 on linux AMD64.
http://my.opera.com/Tamil/blog/fast-proxy-switching works fine as long as you are only using only one type of proxy. But if you try to use HTTP and, say, SOCKS proxys and switch between them then it will fail with the http proxy always staying on (and so making the SOCKS proxies fail). Clicking the quick menu radio buttons for the other SOCKS proxies will not unselect the HTTP proxy button. The two SOCKS proxies will toggle, but as long as there is an HTTP proxy set they will fail to work.
Here is an example of how to replicate this failure:
In order to get proxy switching between my SOCKS proxies to work I had to completely remove the HTTP proxy. Thereafter switching via the f12 quick menu worked fine.
