Flash disappeared
After many hours running Opera Flash stopped to work, Youtube just showed black rectangle, I could not right click.I restarted and it works now, well sort of, lost of performance problems with Opera.
I have the latest Flash plugin installed. How can I prevent this from happening again?

Again, I was watching a video and scrolled the page to read and then the video disappeared and I get a circle with an exclamation mark.

As a point of reference, there's a many-month-long topic running about this (since 3 Aug 2010) over on Adobe's Forum: Gray circle with white exclamation mark on white background It is now known as the GCOD (Gray Circle Of Death) among Flash programmers and users. Browsers involved in seeing it (besides Opera) include IE8, IE9, Chrome, and Firefox according to user posts.Again, I was watching a video and scrolled the page to read and then the video disappeared and I get a circle with an exclamation mark.
There have been some explanations that it is related to Flash itself not properly handling/releasing memory under some situations. A recent (18 Nov 2011) post in that topic by an Adobe employee indicates that Adobe is investigating this as a bug: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4034876#4034876
Opera 12.14u (1738), 11.52 (1100) & 10.63 (3576) running on various Windows systems from Win7-64 down through KernelEx4-modified Win98FE (proof that reports of Win98's demise are greatly exaggerated).
Thanks blackbird71, never had this problem in FF.

Unbearable, it happens all the time now!

Assuming you're referring to the Flash GCODs, a couple of the comments in the Adobe Forum topic indicated that there seemed (at least to some folks) to be a correlation between the time Flash was in continuing session use and how often a GCOD occurred: the longer Flash was used, the more GCODs appeared. Additionally, there was expressed some opinions that the problem appeared to involve Flash not releasing memory within a browser, leading to the effects of a memory "leak"; at some point, things "broke" and either Flash or the browser began misbehaving. Given that there are a number of topics in Opera's forums about Opera sometimes consuming 'excessive' memory, I wonder if this increases an Opera user's odds of experiencing a GCOD. There also was repeated mention that certain CPU chipsets seemed to show up the problem more often than others, which might explain why some folks see it more than others.Unbearable, it happens all the time now!
In any case, it's hard to see how static coding flaws/bugs in Flash and/or Opera could lead to the deteriorating conditions over time that you're describing, which leads me to also wonder whether your Flash or Opera installations have become corrupted along the way as you've experienced the problems. The only suggestion I can offer at this point would be to consider uninstall/reinstall of either or both Flash and Opera. I only wish I had more to suggest...

FF also failed today (never before) so maybe it is a memory problem.

(p.s., tip for sibelius :WinXP runs better with 2GB RAM or more)
I think its the Flash Player and whatever You Tube is doing to stream it.
Sometimes on You Tube the video player isn't there, its just a white space but its playing in Opera.
I just scroll the page down then bring it back up and the player appears!
Strange problem, sometimes even in FF8 it does this , so it seems maybe its "Flash" that has a glitch
there is a strange setting in opera:config that I can't figure out if it has anything to do with it
Extensions, Plug In Script Access.
