If you mean name then it's already possible-

Windows 7 SP1 x86 edition and Windows XP Service Pack 3.
If you need any help from me with regards to Opera, please make a comment on any of my blog posts.

Dude, your suggestions are awful. Rightclick on a speeddial image and select Edit as shown in the image given by Swapnil above. Then you enter the name you want it to display. It shows below a speeddial. If you do not assign a name then the link name is shown (as it must be in your case since you have not yet assigned a name)

Opera automatically assigns the name by taking the "Title of the website". The title of the website is in the HTML code. For example, the source code of http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/ beings as follows-

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en" class="section-user">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
<title>Opera Desktop Team - Desktop Team</title>
<link rel="EditURI" type="application/rsd+xml" title="RSD" href="/desktopteam/xml/rsd">

So the <title> defines the title of the page - which Opera picks as the name for the Speed Dial entry. This is the same title which you see for a webpage in the tab bar.

Though the <title> element is not a compulsory element, so the problem occurs with websites who ignore it (the old website which have not been updated for a long time are often found to ignore this). Then Opera has no idea and sets the URL of the page as the Speed Dial 'name'. You need to manually change it in that case.
