Twitter not working properly
Since a month I'm having problems with Twitter. It doesn't show everything and the links don't work. When using a private tab, it works fine (see screenshot). But I'm tired of opening always a private tab. Solution?
If you are using any extensions try disabling them and see if that makes a difference. I don't use any myself so I'm not sure if it would make a difference when browsing in a private tab or not.

That was a very useful and helpful post.
What version of Opera are you using (Latest stable/Beta/Alpha) ?.
What Operating system are you using (95/98/WinME/2000/XP/Vista/Win7/32Bit/64Bit) ?.

Ah ok, well that would suggest it not related to just one particular version of Opera browser then.
However after deleting all data on Opera and also running Spybot it started to work fine late last night. Haven't tried it yet on my computer this morning though.

The fix has been issued in the lastest browser.js patch, just released by the Sitepatching team: http://my.opera.com/sitepatching/blog/2012/07/17/fail-whale-updateI'm having issues with Twitter right now, not all parts but some like starting a new tweet or clicking on my followers
Check and update your browser.js: http://www.opera.com/docs/browserjs/
Once done, reload the above page to confirm your browser.js version. If using 12.00 it should read:
Target version and time stamp of the active browser.js file is Opera Desktop 12.00 core 2.10.289, July 17, 2012. Active patches: 218 .

Please tell me how to do this as I am using Opera 11.64 and I need to use this version, so please talk me through this as I have tried what it says and after clicking on help it just wants to download Opera 12.00, but I don't want Opera 12.00. there doesn't appear to be an option to download any new js on it's own.

This still doesn't help me, all it helps with is to download the latest version of Opera which I don't want.

Go to HELP, then check for updates, even though it will probably say there is no update just download whatever you see, then restart, and see if you still have this problem.
Also check here and report which version of the javascript file you have as it will show details when you click on this link below.
http://www.opera.com/docs/browserjs/
It should read as follows......
Current browser.js status: enabled.
Target version and time stamp of the active browser.js file is Opera Desktop 11.62 core 2.10.229, July 17, 2012. Active patches: 231 .
Thanks though

No, it was Opera that broke twitter on how it behaved with javascript.
I still think that Twitter behaves oddly though, especially when you try and reply to a tweet on your time-line the box can often stall with the typed words.

Works fine for me.

I have no such problem with Twitter here.
I wonder if your problem could be in your sig.

I think the fix may well have been the latest javascript update, perhaps someone from Opera could confirm.
Current browser.js status: enabled.
Target version and time stamp of the active browser.js file is Opera Desktop 12.01 core 2.10.289, October 8, 2012. Active patches: 262 .
I know prior to this fix that people had said it already worked with no issues for them, but I didn't think that was the case for all systems, especially mine at the time.

Just noticed that on Twitter using Opera 12.02 even when there is a new tweet to view, if I click on HOME nothing happens, I now have to click on where it says NEW TWEET or TWEETS, is this to do with the latest Opera Desktop 12.01 core 2.10.289, October 31, 2012. Active patches: 292 . ?
Or is it that the HOME button is only programmed to work if we are on another tab?
Another little thing I have noticed, and that is the buffer circle in between the ME and the search bar, I could swear that hasn't always shown when moving from tabs.
