Opera mini, 6.51 upgrade for Symbian/S40 - help needed
Hi, newbie here.Using nokia c3-00, s40.
Please excuse if there is a thread all ready 4 these devices. Had originally posted in s60 by mistake - thought it was a combined symbian thread.
Update 6.5 not working properly for me since it went live. Firstly wouldn't install after downloading. When it did, its v slow. Freezes when reading feeds, ie scrolling r trying to get into a bookmark, get blank white area where it normally says how much data is downloading before page opens up properly. Vertually unusable.
Reinstalled n replaced version and it won't install. Says problem with internet connection??
Had to go back to mini 3 and upgrade from that to 4.4 which is quite slow with my bookmarks now and no folders to sort them. I no longer have any of the 5 versions either.
Can ye fix 6.5 for people like me or point the way back to 6.1 which at least worked (and v well at that) great despite inital connection errors until 6.5.2+ comes out. Thanks.
I have plenty of memory and storage space on phone as well incase thats an issue.
Btw in Ireland, not that it should matter.
http://m.opera.com/nokia_upgrade_fwinstalls/ for mini5 at least until next mini6 updated version. It seems that for other platforms 'freezing' issue was fixed and most likely mini4.4 tend to hang after any extra bookmark synced when bookmarks list is too long but that doesn't count.

Thanks, unfortunately the link didn't work. When i try to open that it has a box saying install now and when i do it brings me to another link, then it says that 6.5 is already installed and do i want to open. If I say yes, i'm back in the 6.5 trying to install loop again. If i say no, it cancells download.
Help! Tried the link via laptop and it says webpage can't be displayed.
Is 6.1 still available? Other than memory jar resulting in the inevitable close application, and connectivity issues (which 4.4 has too) 6.1 worked reasonably well.
I kind gathered the bookmarks were slowing 4.4 down but it was a case of needs must.

Build in browser is 4.2. I earlier said 3 but it's definitely 4.2 now that I'm using the lap top and looking at it properly. I upgraded to 4.4 last week as a short term solution while waiting for a fix and saved this to games folder as the build in browser can't be deleted

I'm using 4.4 as current browser - not "build in" and the link will still not work.. as it wants to open 6.5 and when I say yes it tries to install but I get the ""unable to connect to the internet. Please check your settings".

Ah got it.
Should have deleted 6.5 off before trying to install 5.1. Now if I knew that..

Ok thanks for that. Probably explains a lot on why I don't remember deleting 5.1 when upgrading to 6.0/6.1.
Oh it's good to be back in business. I'm not the keenest on the other build in/updated nokia browers but had to use them for some web based essentials that don't have symbian apps.

I updated it and new operamini was 5.1.24009 in Games Folder.
I opened it and after five webpage surfing its shows' Out of memory error'
it is better that operamini fix it or recommand 4.x serier or nokia should break collobration.
