missing tab stack collapse arrow

how to collapse a tab stack without seeing the arrow for collapsing?

the tab bar is positioned at the right of the browser window. I have some tab stacks with several tabs. Expanding the tab stacks works. But as the tab bar doesn't show all tabs some tabs are hidden. I can cycle through the tabs with right-click and scroll. But I cannot collapse hidden tabs from a tab stack as the arrow for collapsing is also hidden.

So how to collapse hidden tabs when the arrow after expanding is hidden?

Thanks in advance.

I could not see any way or find a command to do that. I think, if you need to open more tabs than will fit on the tab bar, and you want to use tab-stacking (since it won't work if you use wrapping or the extender), then you will have to open a new window when the tab bar is nearly full.

Tab-stacking definitely needs some more attention, an option to disable it, a way to save a stack as a session, etc.

I agree, it should need more attention.

But isn't that just like a bug which doesn't work? So I will use the bug report wizard, should I?

Thanks at all.

The tab-stacking not working with wrapping is well known, so there's no need to report that (yet again).

I am not so sure about the problem with the missing collapse icon. I don't think that's a bug — if there's not enough room on the tab bar it cannot be shown.

then there should not be the possibility to expand the tab, if theres not enough room. it's annoying.

Hover the mouse cursor over the stack and select the tab that you want.

You could disable the tab bar and use the Windows Panel instead. That lets you collapse and expand tab stacks easily and you can scroll down if they don't all fit in the panel.

ah thank you. thats a good idea. I think I will use the window panel. Although I hope the tab bar (I like very much the tab bar of firefox) and tab stacking functionality will be improved.
