Are these keys Opera should respond to (like Forward, Rewind, etc.) or keys that other parts of the desktop should be responding to (the aforementioned calculator ... or volume controls, or ...)?
My keyboard has a Back button (separate from Opera's regular shortcuts) which Opera responds to fine. My keyboard also has a Mute key (which is not handled by Opera but by another program) which also works fine. Though note that I use KDE, and perhaps Gnome handles it differently.

Everything, when system starts, works just fine. Then, when i use the multimedia keys too much, with opera running, is when the problems begin.
It like the browser crashes a part of the system, maybe an incompatibility.
