Strange opera startup error?
Whenever I load opera, an error pop up twice before the browser shows up."The drive or network connection that the shortcut 'Lenovo Think.lnk' refers to is unavailable. Make sure that the disk is properly inserted or the network resource is available, and then try again."
I checked the shortcut and I never find the Lenovo Think.lnk mentioned anywhere.
Target: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Opera\opera.exe"
Start in: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Opera"
Run in: Normal Window
Compatibility all unchecked, as is.
I am using a newly created account with full local administrator rights.
There is a Lenovo Think icon pinned on my taskbar thou, and it is working fine with all the lenovo goodies.
I am using a lenovo desktop, obviously, with windows 7 64bit OS, 1 months old. The error exist since the first day I installed opera on it. I don't have any problem with my IE, maxthon, firefox, chrome or safari. the version of Opera is 11.52, since it was first installed.
Anyone have any idea?

The important thing is that a bug has been reported and acknowledged by one of the devs.
See http://my.opera.com/community/forums/findpost.pl?id=10097212
Should be fixed in Opera 11.60/12.00. as just posted by Rijk here. http://my.opera.com/community/forums/findpost.pl?id=10908732
Edited for latest info.

I thought it was something that can be fixed by the registry but obviously I am wrong.
Anyway thanks Luxor for the head up that it is not my problem nor my new computer. I guess I can live with it.

You shouldn't have to live with it for long hopefully. Opera 11.60 is in beta stage so may not be too far away.

The "Lenovo Think.lnk" is your "Device Stage Platform Server", and it refers to your Task Bar as follows:
C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar
The problem is that Opera is trying to pin itself to your task bar, but it does not know how to do it.
It seems that starting with Opera 11.50 the developers decided to pin their program to the task bar (Firefox pins itself to the task bar) without actually figuring out how to pin their program to the task bar. Opera 11.50, 11.51, and 11.52 all have this issue.
When Opera pokes its ugly nose into your task bar, you might also see IE complaining as follows:
A program on your computer has corrupted your default search provider settings for Internet Explorer.
Internet Explorer will now open Search Settings, where you can change this setting or install more search providers.
Opera used to be my first browser, but I think it has become somewhat bloated since version 11.50.
If you find Opera spitting error messages on you annoying, you should either go back to Opera 11.11 or use another browser.

General comment: notice from day one,(with win7) Opera has does not seem stable with 11+ Opera. Version 10.5 was no problem.
