Windows 7 en HomePremium OEM x64. OperaNext is pinned to taskbar. Same happening with the opera.exe run from the cmd window.
I've just tested it with clear profile (thank goddess for the -pd (; ) and it seems to work ok, yet the default profile is fairly clean one (only mail setup plus 5 extensions -- disabling them doesn't fix the problem)
EDIT: after playing with the issue for a while it turned out to be session file fault (for the reasons beyond me) - i've bookmarked the items, closed all tabs, restarted browser, opened same pages, closed browser and now it starts the same...
does it seem like a good idea to submit this as a bug with the example session file?

With that faulty session? It did happen... (at least as far as I remember this was bugging me for some time now). With the corrected one it was ok for a while but yesterday I again got a new, empty tab... and trying to play with the issue today it is working ok... I'm thinking of starting to bang my head against the wall...
