(Change?) Background Color of Window with No Tabs
I'm new to the forums here, but I've used Opera for about a year now, and it's by far the best browser I've ever really used. It's blend of speed, usability (has a great interface), flexibility on many platforms, and unique features, are what distinguish it from every other browser in existence. (What other browser could I use on old desktop PCs running Windows 95/98(FE/SE), newer ones running Windows XP and Ubuntu, and my jailbroken iPhone 3G on iOS 4.2.1--and synchronize everything across all devices with Opera Link? None!
)There are a lot of awesome, unique features in Opera, which I love. One of them is the ability to have windows with no tabs open, replacing the start-up option "show Speed Dial" with "start with no new tabs". I like to use this option when using Opera to open html files directly from Windows Explorer, or another file browser, so that I don't have an extra Speed Dial tab in the background when opening up a web page for viewing.
The one thing that sort of bothers me about te windows without tabs in them is that there's an ugly dark grey background, regardless of the Apperance settings. Is there a way to configure a background for a tabless window? Or at least force the background to mirror the Speed Dial one? Because it would look much nicer that way.
Also, another thing that's frustrating is using Opera 10.63 on Windows 98 SE, mouse gestures don't work when there are no tabs open, so one must use Ctrl + T or click the "New Tab" button to start a session.
