Bug in Opera mini 4.4- Images donot load.
I hav seen in my opera mini 4.4 and even 4.3 that when pages with lots of images (setting of images to load in high quality)..donot load in the browser. I mean that the near end images of a heavy page...its gets blanked......Originally posted by smyru:
I guess it's expected. When telephone goes out of memory, images will be turned into colorful squares.
I don't think this is a memory issue. My phone memory is plenty and I use both opera mini 4.4 and 6.5. I have the same problem with 4.4 but the other version works fine

If I put under test n6234: startup heap ~2MB, total memory 2MB (memory can't grow - reported at 1-1.5mb by mini servers), image scale hq in size is equal with an (physical) 240x320 display with zoom out - means 200kb on average ppx. and in any circumstances can't be installed any game or java app with more than 1MB jar size and at ~850kb tend to crash the phone. Sony Ericsson K800i on normal usage (loading several 200kb pages): startup heap 1.5MB, used (readed) ~4MB (1.5 + 2.6 reported by opera mini servers) growing until 5.5mb where total memory available is ~7.7mb; with Opera Mini 6.5 a 1.2MB page size (images) can be loaded, means 6x240/320 scroll. I've just used a heap monitor to see what's going on when mini server have a reading error (tend to load a page that is double in size then actually it is) - well, 2.6mb limit with 1.3 partition can't be imposed always and instead of that a 4mb size is readed which affect the partition and the cause could be that cache is cleared to save memory on heavy load - only mini6.5 have this bug.
