crash on file open/save

every time opera opens a file dialogue to open or save a file, it crashes after a few seconds. which means, if i manage to click save fast enough, it won't crash, but if i need to p.e. click through some folders first, it crashes every time.
tried cleaning the opera profile, didn't help. copied the opera-installation to another PC - works fine there.
so it's a problem specific to this PC, but it doesn't occur in other browsers or other programs, only in opera.

it seems like opera isn't using the windows-standard-file-dialogue, maybe that's some kind of conflict? is there a way to change this anywhere in opera's settings?

when i installed the latest update, it didn't crash for several days, but now it started again. also it now started on a second PC - but still no crashes on the third PC.

any ideas what can cause this?

Did you save a file to a removable disk, and the disk is no longer present? That or deleting the directory you last used can give Opera problems ...

Open opera:config and look at the paths in the Saved Settings section to make sure they still exist.
