Standard mouse.ini (1) - Customise (also for Mouse Gesture)
Hi all,Is it suggestable to "COPY ALL" my own customize command setting in (my own ) standard_mouse.ini (1) to paste & cover all original command settings in Opera > UI > standard_mouse.ini ?
So that I do not need to trouble myself to do the following in order to use my own mouse command setting: Type opera:config, then type mouse, then lead to my customize standard_mouse.ini (1)
I recently having problem as I did --> type opera:config, then type mouse, then lead to my customize standard_mouse.ini (1). However, Opera sometimes doesn't remember that & made itself back to Opera > UI > standard_mouse.ini (dont know why)
So that if copy & paste all command from Standard_mouse.ini (1) to Standard_mouse.ini is no harm to opera., so that I have no headache as opera folder has only a single file of mouse setting (in the folder of UI)
Thank you !
edmond.

You put your customized mouse ini file in the "mouse" folder in the preferences folder and restart Opera. Then, you goto "Ctrl + F12 -> advanced -> shortcuts" and select it.
The easiest way to get an ini file in that folder is to use "duplicate" in "ctrl + F12 -> advanced -> shortcuts", edit the file with a text editor and then switch to it in "shortcuts" (which you can do without restarting in this case).
Now, for menu ini files at least, your customized ini file only has to contain the sections that you've changed. You can omit all other section and Opera will use the defaults for those sections. This could be true for the mouse ini files too, but never tested.
opera:config#Mouse%20Configuration should work fine as long as you click "save". But, if you click "default", Opera will not get the path right. You have to browse to ui/standard_mouse.ini and save. But, this setting change won't go into effect until you restart Opera. Instead, just switch to the default via "Ctrl + F12 -> advanced -> shortcuts".

I will be fine as I played with keyboard+mouse .ini very well.
Just recently the opera convert back itself these 2 settings to it's original .ini instead of the customize .ini I did click save I/O click default)
Anyway, I will be fine. Thanks
Edmond

Hi Burout426,
what would happen if:
In Advance, Mouse , Opera standard, GestureUp=zoom in
In Advance, Mouse , Opera standard compatible, GestureUp=zoom out
As you may know what I am trying to say.... means, I have my customized opts for zoom out. (Opera standard compatible is the one I customize) However, the original GestureUp=zoom in.
And it is now a conflicts, which one Opera would follow if GestureUp?
Thank you
Edmond.

Sections you have in your custom ini file override the default sections.
