mouse wheel tab switch

Hi,

my Opera switches tabs when I use the mouse wheel and I mean only the wheel without pressing any mouse button.
It happens after I go one step back in history (no matter if I use the browsers back button or the mouse gesture (holding right mouse button and pressing the left mouse button). If I then want to scroll the page down Opera switches to a different tab. That's very annoying!
To me it looks like Opera thinks that I'm pressing the right mouse button. But in no other application I have trouble with my mouse.

My environment: I'm working on a MacBook Pro with Windows XP in a VirtualBox. Opera runs in Windows XP.

Can anybody give me advice how to fix this?

Thanks in advance.

On Windows, what is supposed to happen when you scroll while holding the shift key down is that the current tab scrolls back and forth in the tab history. Maybe the shift key is stuck down?

Shift + Scrolling goes back and forth in the history of a web page.
But this is not the problem. The shift key is not pressed.
I just realized that after going one step back I can also click on another tab and when I turn the mouse wheel then Opera still wants to switch tabs.

Only after clicking the right mouse button I can scroll normally in a page.

I'm pretty sure that this is a problem with VirtualBox. Does anybody use it too and can give me a hint?

Btw. the problem also appears with a newly installed Opera.
So it has nothing to do with my own settings, shortcuts, gestures etc.
