In text/plain messages, you include links like this:

Hey, check out <http://example.com/>.

In text/html messages, links need to be represented by HTML markup like this:

Hey, check out <a href="http://example.com/">http://example.com/</a>.

You do that by using "Insert -> Link" or "Insert -> HTML" and inserting:

<a href="http://example.com/">http://example.com/</a>

after "out ".

Note though, please use a subject that describes what the thread is about. "Opera mail V.11.60 beta" is too vague. Also, if this issue was specific to the beta (it's not though), it should be posted in the beta forum.

For text messages, it should not be necessary to do anything in particular to make links clickable by the *recipient*. You won't see them as clickable in the mail composition editor (when "open" for editing), but you will see the clickable links (the way your recipient sees them) in the mail "preview" window.

There is nothing necessary to make them clickable in text messages. You don't even have to encase them in <>. But, you do that to delimit them per Appendix C in RFC 3986. Opera works completely fine in this area.
