Installing Extensions and Widgets on Tablets
I have to ask a question that probably is obvious to most but is confusing to me. I am new to Opera.I have a Tablet (ASUS TF101) with Android on it.
Yesterday, I decided to try Opera and downloaded Opera Mobile from the "app market". Very nice. I am a convert!
Question 1 ... I would like to try some Extensions (add-ons) but just do not see how to install them. Is it possible? If yes, how?
Question 2 .... What is the difference between a Widget and an Extension? I understand a Widget for a desktop and OS, but what is the difference between a widget for a browser and an extension for a browser?
Any help would be appreciated.
I'm confused, Opera Mobile for Android doesn't support widgets?
Even though Widgets listed at widget.opera have a mobile icon indicating when they are compatible with mobile devices? Are they compatible with Mobile phones but not Tablets?
Everything on Google suggest it does, although nothing says how:
- Opera releases WAC-ready widget runtime for Android
- Opera's Widgets Become Mobile Apps
- and countless other resources all boasting the introduction of widget support for mobile devices.
The Opera Widgets FAQ says they run on "desktop computer, Nintendo Wii and also on mobile phones", but doesn't explicitly say that tablets are not supported. I thought the Android version of Opera was the same regardless of if your device was a mobile or a tablet.

I think so, too.
