Useless eror message
Hi All,I have maybe 30 email accounts but one will not send. I have compared the details with several other accounts to the same servers and they are all identical.
When I Create or Reply and click the "Send" button, the email is sent to the Outbox and a few seconds later I get "Failed to send" error.
I opened the Console to show Errors and it says

Sales
Sending message failed
I deleted the "Sales" account and created a new one using the details from another account that works fine. Same useless message

Checking and gathering emails works fine, by the way. It is just with Send.

Check the log. It might reveal what the problem is or at least how far the connection gets.

I even took screen captures of a working account and the new account so I could compare then in case my Dyslexia was fooling me. The screen dumps were identical.
I deleted the account again. I copied and pasted all of the details to a Notepad from a working account. I created a new account and pasted the details back in. Same thing, it would not send.
I used another account that was working fine, and swapped the server and email name for the "Sales" account and it all works flawlessly.
I created a new account to replace the one I modified for Sales and it too is working fine.
I have no problem account to Log now. It apparently was something that screwed up during the creation of that Sales account -- two times!

In some weird (as in, not something a user normally experiences) cases, what's shown in the UI and what's stored in accounts.ini can be out of sync. That's why in <http://operawiki.info/SMTPProblems>, you'll see a lot of suggestions about checking accounts.ini to make sure the setting is right.
Judging by this and your other thread, you may be experiencing some kinds of issues like that with accounts.ini.
