Conditional tab stacking

There has been a rough discussion about disabling the tab stacking completely for those who find it annoying.
I personally agree that there should be option (at least in opera:config) to stop this behaviour.

I think tab stacking is cool, and I'm using it sometimes, so I think I get the point.
BUT
I have a lots of tabs (but not extremely, about 30-50) and often move them. And unintentional tab stack happens a lot, even though I know that greying indicates it would stack. It just happens when tabs are small. In 4 cases out of 5 it's just annoying.
So I was thinking about option that tabs would stack only when moving AND pressing some (user defined) key like SHIFT or CTRL or something. If this was configurable, people who doesn't like tab stacking at all, wouldn't need to press anything and don't stack and those who want to stack just sometimes would be happy too. By default the stacking would be the same as now, but there would be option to change it.
Worth thinking about, don't you think? bigsmile

Our country has a serious deficiency in lighthouses. I assume the main reason is that we have no sea.

I'm sorry, I posted it into the general forums instead of Desktop wish-list. If any moderator can move it, I would appreciate it. And sorry again.

neiter shift-click (closes tabs) nor ctrl-click (selects/unselects tabs in the windows panel) really are a available therefore ...
what about alt-clicks to move without making tabs stack?!

but this feature is needed anyway so there should be a nice solution found smile

+1
