Opera 11.60 RC2 (build 1184)
Another day, another snapshot as Tunny keeps up its amazing pace ...Today we have build 1184 ... Haavard indicates that the big change is with the star in the address bar (and some other address field related stuff) so you should focus especially on problems related to the address field.

I'm not very interested in stars at adressbar at all. Never need it and don't will. I'm interested in seeing my favicons there and in the searchbar
Please forgive my using this post to chime in. It's a long time since I've posted.
I currently use 11.60 1173, 12.00 1155, 12.00 1076, 11.50 1074, and 9.64 10487.
My earliest record of versions is 604-1135 which is Opera 1.4 around 2003/03/25.
I'll happily provide the gory history... ):
I am only comparing 9.64-10487 to 11.60-1173 right now because we are talking about core issues.
Please be so kind as to view these two images:

http://SomaCat.com/o/oper/OPBUG12C.JPG O9P10487 9.64 10487 Works OK
and note these issues:
1. In OPBUG12B.JPG can you tell which tab is current? I don't think so.
2. In OPBUG12C.JPG you CAN tell which is current.
3. What are the clues?
4. The shading on the tab bar, which I keep at the bottom of the screen.
5. The color of the close big "X" at the top right of each screen.
6. The images were captured with Techsmith SnagIt version 9.1.3 Build 19 2009/09/28 -- Thanks!
7. There is only ONE reason I use Opera -- it permits me to have multiple tabs visible in the same page. Not one version since 9.6.4 properly shades the TabBar and the Close-X correctly.
8. If this is not a bug then I really don't belong here. Help!!!!
Regards
Jeffrey

I agree with Jeffrey on this. It's always hard to tell which tab is active, especially when you have 20 of them or even more.
I use the FreeBSD version and choosing a color scheme from the "Appearance" settings dialog makes it easier to see the active tab. But I'd prefer not to use color schemes because I like the default gray color of the Unix native skin better.

Not really hard to say if you are using the standard skin. At least on Win7.

What is the problem? Could not find any big issue.

Hi LeoCG,
OMG, I do apologize for having omitted the very important information about my platform.
I am not running Windows 7. I am running Windows XP Home Edition SP3 on an EeePC.
This is an Asus Eee PC 1005 HAB with my upgrade to 2GB of RAM.
I'm really sorry I didn't grab a few more of these machines last year at Best Buy. Now they are gone.
When I get back to San Francisco in January I will run the same tests on my Toshiba
Satellite: L305D-S59222 Model: PSLC8U-03Q024 running that abortion Windows Vista.
-- Begin RANT --
I hate the Toshiba machine and I hate Vista so the machine has been a virtual brick for about a year.
I do not have, nor will I ever install Windows 7 on any machine.
My first PC was an IMSAI 8080 running CP/M in 1975 or so.
I am soon to turn 69, and have used almost every version of Windows.
I still use many MsDOS applications such as Qedit, Lotus 123 vers 1A*, Brooklyn Bridge Filer.
My Lotus is dated 1987/09/09. Were you born then? -grin-
I've run Linux on my EeePC from an 8GB camera chip. When I can get the DOS emulation to work acceptably I will migrate to Linux and dump Windows forever.
-- End RANT --
I hope you have been amused by my post. Have a wonderful holiday season.
Regards, Jeffrey

I have a problem with the address field.
It is a problem about customization of the gui using shift-F12|Buttons.
I cannot drag the 'address field'-"button" from BrowserView in any way.
My problem started because I tried to remove the new Star Menu icon from the right side of the address field (I just updated to 10.60).
Unfortunately, I only succeded in removing all of the address field.
I was able to recover from this by chance, because I could drag the address field from another toolbar, which normally is hidden (I used the option 'show hidden toolbars while customizing' under Appearance|Toolbars).
I was able to drag in the area of the 'Page Information' button (and only here), which is attached to the address field, but this button is not attached to address field under Appearance|Buttons|BrowserView, which I guess is why I can't drag that address field.
I can try going back to the standard skin and see if this still is a problem.
Edit: This is not a problem dependent on if the skin is the standard skin or not.
