Strange Opera Mini 6.5 update link
Hi everyone! Recently I was surfing with my Opera Mini 6.1. Instead of visiting one of the requested websites I was redirected to it-opera.com - the page which offered me to update my Opera Mini to 6.5 version. The downloaded file has a strange name format as for Opera install file (new_opera.jar or smth like that), and when trying to install it, it doesn't rewrite the older Opera Mini version as it always happened when I was updating (that's why I didn't proceed installing). The Whois info about this domain also makes me think that this is kind of dangerous soft. Sorry if I'm wrong in these observations, but if not, be careful.4. December 2011, 15:43:58 (edited)
What does the whois says? The only official Opera Mini download link is http://mini.opera.com/ or from http://www.opera.com/. Opera Mini downloaded from all other sites run the risk of tampering.
Also, the site looks very similiar to the site mentioned at this thread (http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=1177992 ), which is flagged by Microsoft's smart screen filter to filter malicious pages.
