Not true, I just tested it for fun and it climbed up to 2.8GB by opening 50 youtube videos at the same time and opera still runs fine.
Flash crashed though and the memory used by opera came down to 1GB.

I assume flash is not set with LargeAddressAware while opera is(which is a nice surprise).

Your crash was most likely cause by something else since you must use a 64bit OS if you have 16GB of RAM(which is what I think I understood you had).
MAIN PC: 12.16 -> i7-2600k, 16GB RAM, Win 7 x64
HTPC: 15.0.1147.153 -> A10-6700, 8GB RAM, win 7 x64

I just keep getting more depressed every time I update opera. Very old bugs not fixed, easy fix not made(talking about no option to disable image resize here), new "features" even more annoying than the last ones implemented and often poor compatibility with a lot of website.

I use opera 32bit on an Intel i7-2600k with 16GB RAM with windows 7 64bit like my signature says.

The fact that you're using a 32bit windows might be the cause of the crash since the limit on most 32bit system is around 1.8GB unless there's some option in the OS to counter this, but win 2008 should have those in theory so I'm not really sure why you crash.

It could be one of the extension you have installed or something like that, try disabling all of them if you have some and see if it still crash.

Also, it's "memory" not "monery".

Edit: Just did some research and unless you enable 4GT on your system, the limit for each process is 2GB(but in reality it's usually around 1.8GB that things go bad) on a 32bit OS. You can enable it on win 2008 by following this: http://blogs.technet.com/b/askperf/archive/2009/04/03/who-moved-my-3gb.aspx .
And if you have the Enterprise or datacenter edition of win 2008 32bit, you can use more than 4GB(assuming you have more than that installed) if you enable PAE: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa366796(v=vs.85).aspx

Thank you everything. I found it must Set IncreaseUserVa .Before ,I only open PAE . Now one 32bit sofware can use 2.8G memory, same as you ,borhter. Very kind of you .
