"Delete Permanently" in Context Menu, Opera 11.6 Mail

Just installed the latest version. It's great but one feature which has been very important for me has been changed in this version. Before, when you right-clicked on a message in Opera Mail, the "Delete Permanently" option appeared on the Context Menu. Now instead, one has to click twice to reach this option: 1) right-click on message: context menu (option "Delete") 2) click "Delete"---> three option (incl. "Delete Permanently").

Is there a way to restore "Delete Permanently' on the Context Menu? I looked in the settings file but couldn't find anything there.

Context: One of the reasons I switched to Opera Mail originally was precisely because I was able to delete mail with one click, so now I really miss this feature. I know that I could use Ctr+Delete, but doing this with one hand on the mouse is much more convenient. The context menu, at the same time, acted as a safety valve (I had to think if I really wanted to delete the message).

I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

You don't have to click "Delete" to open up that menu. You just hover over it and it opens.

Anyway, this was changed to make the menu cleaner and to make room for the pin command.

I didn't like it at first either, but I got used to it.

If you want to change it, goto "ctrl + F12 -> advanced -> toolbars -> menu setup section". Select Opera standard and choose "duplicate". Don't select the new menu yet though. Then, go into the "menu" folder in the preferences folder and edit the ini file that was created with a text a text editor. At the top of the file, you can change the name of the menu (in two places) so it has a new name in the preferences dialog.

You need to go under "[Mail Item Popup Menu]" and add the delete permanently line from "[Delete Mail Menu]" to it. Then, save your changes.

Then, in the preferences dialog, select your new menu and click ok to apply changes.

Note that in your customized menu, you can delete all the extra stuff except for the section ("[Mail Item Popup Menu]" in this case) that you want to modify and Opera will use the defaults for the rest.

In any menu in almost any app, you don't have to click to get into a sub-menu. You just hover over its text in the parent menu and the sub-menu will open up. Then, you can continue moving the mouse into the sub-menu. That's all I'm saying.
