Visual noise

1. Visit "www.dinside.no" for example.
2. Wait a while (half a minute or so).
3. The page reloads automatically every x second which makes the progress indicator appear briefly as well as blinking the tab thumbnail/icon. This frequent "activity" in the upper part of the program window (progress indicator appearing briefly and blinking of the tab thumbnail every time the page reloads) can be visually distracting when one is concentrating on the contents of the web page. Firefox, Chrome and Safari doesn't have this problem (I don't know whether because they don't auto-reload web pages or because they don't display any visual cues when they do).

Not that I work with desktop at all, but yes, I see your problem. I myself do heavy content blocking on most Norwegian newspaper sites, so I'm wondering if it could be related to an ad?

I don't think it's related to a specific ad as this problem occurs on a lot of different web pages, both norwegian and english ones.
