Opera 11.60 crashes when I delete history
I just updated to the latest version of Opera and whenever I try to delete my history, the program just crashes and then I get the send report dialog box. I've disabled my plug-ins and tried deselecting different options in the delete history dialog box, but nothing changes and the program instantly crashes.Anyone else have this problem?
Close down Opera delete the history yourself to see if if it then works fine without crashing.
In the preferences directory, delete global_history.dat, vlink.dat, download.dat and typed_history.dat. You could also delete autosave.win in the sessions folder.
In the Opera local profile folder, you could delete the cache, opcache, temporary_downloads and vps folders.
Do you sync history and such with Opera Link though?
If nothing helps, you could rename operaprefs.ini in the preferences directory so Opera creates a new one. Then things would probably work without crashing (you'd just have to adjust your delete private data checkboxes again first).

Do you use Opera Link though?
You could just rename your preferences directory and opera local profile directory to start with a new profile. Then, if you use Opera Link, just sync. Or, if you don't, import bookmarks.adr into the new profile for example. If you do use Opera Link and you after syncing, deleting history causes a crash, then there's some bogus data on the Link server.
