Wrong number of unread mails shown

Since the update Opera shows in the Mailpanel a wrong number of unread mails. The number indicates that it also counts the number of send mails. If i use the "Settings for view" menu and uncheck "Show send" it works temporally but the problem returns after a restart of opera. The unchecking is also not visible in the menu. Every time i open the menu "Show send" is checked even if opera does count the number of mails correct. Has anybody the same problem or a solution?

Sent messages are indeed included in the count of messages. So, if you have any sent messages that are unread, they'll be shown in views that have "show sent" checked. But, just goto "All Messages/Sent" and mark any of them that are unread as read. None of them should be unread.

As for "show sent", toggling it is a little buggy at the moment.

Same thing happened to me, suddenly rss feeds were counted on the Unread messages too. Restarting Opera fixed that.

Hmm, maybe I don't understand the logic behind that, but how can a message written and sent (by myself) possibly be unread??

btw, it doesn't seem to work: just tried to manually mark a sent message Unread, but even though I have "show sent" enabled in Unread view, the unread sent message still doesn't show up there.
Using Win 7 x64 and latest Opera snapshpot, lab build or final, whatever is newer...

Due to a bug or you marking it as unread for example.

You'll probably just have to wait till the bug is fixed. However, what happens if you set "show hidden" and "show duplicates"? Do you see anything then? Try unchecking "show sent" and then rechecking it. Is this with IMAP in your case? Gmai IMAP? Is the "[Gmail]/Sent", set as the IMAP sent folder?

I played a bit with "show hidden", "show duplicates", "show sent"..., but nothing worked.
It's mainly POP3, but I have 4 mail accounts set to be checked.

I have many more incoming RSS items than emails and am happy to continue having the unread RSS count plus unread Usenet count included in the panel's tab.

The variant I see of the "wrong number" problem is that reading all items doesn't immediately alter or eliminate the count in the panel tab: if it shows as 8 then it remains as 8 and isn't refreshed.

However, even a single new item appearing in an RSS, Usenet or email (POP) account will cause the new (correct) count of "1" to be shown.
