Issues with videos in Opera, Ubuntu.
If I open a YT video, or really any video that plays in browser, and pause it to let it load. If I let it sit for more then a minute or two the video disappears and is replaced by an empty spot that is background colored. I recently updated my Ubuntu to the newest version and this still occurs which leads me to believe its Opera.I too have the issue the posters previously mention, when I pause a video to let it load, it often hiccups and of course loses all the video that has downloaded so far. Very annoying, It has been the case with more than one recent version of Ubuntu, am using 11.61 now, still same damn thing. Basically use Firefox to view videos anymore, too much annoyance with Opera.
a fix would be nice. Even changing when the page redraws does not help.alas

Could you guys try to detach the tab(s) where the flash movie exist. That means make them in their own window.
Why I suggest this?
I am currently playing MMORPG which happen a Flash Based Browser Game. You all experiences occasionally happen to me (not just in Opera). And my suggestion above solve that problem. Actually it also help me if I happen use other browsers and they start to break a neck. I can't explain it why Flash Based movies doesn't like to play well inside tabs browser, either for Windows or Linux.
If Flash movies start to be play sluggish, there's probability it cache is really exhausted. Close all tab where any Flash movie exist (bookmarked it if you want), clear the cache. Notice that Opera (and at least Firefox) has option to clear only plugin cache, but if you think it doesn't hurt to clear all cache, do that instead.
On worst scenario; your system will look like on halt while a Flash page running, not hang, we're Linux here. At least for me; wait a moment, once I can move the mouse pointer I close the offending tab. You can use the mouse to hit the close button or just hit CTRL-W. My system will instantly stop doing something. I suspect memory leak, but currently not bother to trace it.
