Opera won't connect for several minutes after application start
Hi,I had this problem on a previous computer but now it starts to make it impossible to work with opera. Please help.
Whenever I start opera I do not get any data from the internet for several (sometimes up to 40) minutes I have internet access and IE connects just fine.
There is no error message, no time out, nothing. The time display is counting but there is not asking a server, no waiting for response or data.
All recent tabs show the 'waiting circle' that formerly was the hour glass.
Then, after some time, some tabs show data and refreshing works and I get data.
As I said, I had this on the previous computer as well, but the waiting ended after a maximum of 2 minutes.
I did not tweak opera at all, all settings are default. I am running win7 64 bits.
If someone has any idea, what opera does during these inactive minutes, please let me know. I am desperate and considering firefox :-|
