Opera 12.00 build 1191 (build 1193 for Mac): Integrating Tunny fixes and some more fixes

The Opera team is back to focus on Opera 12.00 or Wahoo and here comes another snapshot. This snapshot contains some fixes from the later Opera 11.60 snapshots and additional fixes as well. Linux/FreeBSD users can now enjoy a basic implementation of featherweight themes - watch out; bugs are expected. Mac users, please don't complain about this snapshot for website compatibility as the user agent string is broken and site compatibility is expected to be brokenOpera team has now released build 1193 for Mac which fixes this issue .In addition this snapshot contains fixes for issues that occur when using any themes and finally there are a bunch of fixes for some bothering issues on Windows - for example, the bug when titlebar remains in fullscreen mode on Windows XP is now fixed. And then for the finishing touch we have some crash fixes.

Suggestions:
-Add button in panel of "downloads" list for faster delete finished downloads or let to use right click without choosing position on list (in free space of list) for get "Remove all finished"
-Change size of positions in panel "downloads" list to 2 lines for one download position (panel could be narrow but filename, progress and time/speed in next line will be visible with more details)

The icon in address bar which shows status of webpage like [Web],[secured] etc is missing for speeddial. I think in previous versions it was shown speed- dial there, is it intentionally removed? confused

I'm testing the last build, by now i have no problems expect two. I tried to look in the forum if someone have the sames problems but i didn't find anything. First is whit the text of Personal Bar/Bookmarks bar when it is above Addressbar. When i setup th bars in this way, theres no text on PersonalBar, although the space is occupied. Is like the text was invisible. I tried change the skins but the same result.

The other thing is with a custom skin and the pagebar tab's color text. I put #000000 in the skin to show black text. Bur Opera doesn't draw the text in black, is always brighter, even white. I don't know why is it.

Sorry about my english, it is not my native language wink

Hi, i have updated to Next 12 build 1191, and there is a problem with the panel toggle on the left, the small arrow is there and the extra space, but it just won't open the panel, i tried disabling/ enabling the option from appearance menu, reinstalling opera next, and still no success. I am using that option from the day it was introduced and i just can't live without it :\

Windows 2008 x86-64 (Vista)

Software Vega:
Custom implementation of the title bar buttons (minimize/maximize/close) is not as great as it could be.
When the mouse cursor leaves the window from any of the title bar buttons, it remains highlighted
And the right margin is wrong for me:

Hardware accelerated Vega :
Title bar renders black, seems like alpha of the back plane is wrong.

bug Edit existing Speed Dial item. Type any URL you have in bookmarks. Opera cuts the URL.
bug Synaptics touchpad: back and forward gestures (3 fingers) do not work
bug White background while loading next page on most sites. Imagine browsing black sites at night.
bug Memory leaks and freezes - tell me how I can help you detect them
bug CSS issues - should in-line elements have padding/margin? How about 7px font in a small div?
bug Right click menu - Opera looks for all installed browsers and it may freeze Opera for 1-5 seconds
bug Search bar is higher than address bar (Win XP and "Themes" service disabled). Previous "reload" icon was better.

I know it's only in alpha stage and buggy, but I get very large memory usage over 800 kb and flash content disappears and when mouse over that content it reappears (Google maps for instance). Also when that happens flash videos on other sites (if they are open at the same time in another tab) disappears and you get an exclamation point inside a circle (youtube)

i found out that while in the appearance window, with show hidden toolbars while customizing, the left panel works, but when i exit the appearance window, it stops again.

also: when playing embedded flash, it freezes after 1-2 seconds and when i close that tab, flash stays over all the other windows in opera including speed dial, i have to kill opera process to fix it... i'll get screenshot when it happens again

Since my graphics card doesn't support OpenGL good enough, Opera is using the Software renderer on my system. All the below refers to Software renderer.

Well that bug exists in all versions of Opera. Not something new to this snapshot.

Nope. They space between buttons is still the same as Opera 11.60 and doesn't seem to be different from Opera 11.52 too. Is it hardware-renderer specific?

Confirmed.

But it's the same with Opera 11.60 too.

Also one more note:

Some Opera 11.60 reported that there were some bugs which did not exist in Opera 11.52. Please nag them to get them fixed with Opera 12.00. One such issue I would like to nag for is http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=1193742

Yes, but in the wrong place. The 'less space between buttons' suggestion was to be given in the 'Beta Testing' forum when Opera 11.50 was not released; now it belongs to Desktop-wishlist forum; doesn't matter how small it is. Most of the bugs which you are reporting also exist in Opera versions prior to Opera 11.60. What you are supposed to report in the Beta testing forum are new bugs which don't exist in the stable version of Opera - 11.60. However, this time it is an exceptional case as Opera developers did not fix certain bugs in Opera 11.60 which didn't exist in Opera 11.52. So this time you should also nag for bugs which did not exist in Opera 11.52 and are present in Wahoo snapshots.

Two main issues i've run into so far.

- Opera crashes when attempting to play a webm file.

]- Weird rendering and glitches when the 'taskbar' is set to autohide.
EDIT: On closer inspection it appears that this only happens when window decorations have been disabled for Opera Next.

This is on Opensuse 12.1, KDE 4.7.2 and with the closed source fglrx drivers. Graphics card is an AMD Radeon HD 6300.

Might be because Opera uses an old VP8 decoder. They need to update or move to xvp8 as their decoder.
