Loving mail in Next 12.00 alpha
For once, I'd like to send my congratulations to the people at Opera instead of only barking at them when something feels wrong or makes me uncomfortable.The new Mail UI in Opera Next 12.00 alpha is perfect in its look and feel. Does it work well as in "easy to use"? I don't know, haven't upgraded to 11.60 yet as I'm still using 11.52, all I know is that it looks very good and the grouping and threaded views make sense.
The Mail panel in 11.52 had been an excellent surprise but this new UI tops it off. It's all pretty much monochrome but I guess the colorlessness is handled by the skin.
Anyway, excellent job at finally acknowledging wide screens.
However, the French localization isn't complete (which is totally understandable) and some translations aren't natural at all while others are not consistent in one group of labels. I'm a translator and localizer so I quickly noticed these.
