Backing up Notes

I love the Notes function in Opera - as I do with the browser it'self - but can find no easy way to do a backup of my Notes.

Elsewhere some software downloads were suggested for doing that kind of backup but all seemed a bit above my level of understanding. Also someone said they are all in file notes.adr but, despite having told Windows 7 to show hidden files I can't find it - not within any Opera folders, nor using Search. I manually copied and pasted most of the most important ones but it was a pain. Anyone got any suggestions? My own suggestion, to the software developers, is to include some form of Export Notes option.

Am I missing something really obvious? (wouldn't be the first time)
Any assistance appreciated. Ken Fabos.

Help > About Opera. Take note of Opera Directory Path, notes.adr will be there.

Leo, I really am a bit of a novice in these matters - Opera directory path is via computer/Cdrive/programs/opera ? I looked and didn't find. Search didn't find. You may have to walk me through it. Thank you.

Your Opera Directory is here, and your notes.adr file is there.

I recommend using the utility in my sig. Not only notes need to be backed up. What about bookmarks, contacts, mail, passwords, searches, etc.

Pesala, thanks. Yes found the file using that path - which was not anywhere where I thought it would have been. Something has to have kept it hidden from Windows Search, but it doesn't really matter now - that little backup utility of yours looks ideal for purpose!

I keep passwords and usernames copied and backed up manually to external HDD + usb drive to be sure, and Export function via File menu does Bookmarks. I did that prior to trying your OSIE.

Found OSIE didn't want to put it where I wanted but I let it put the backup file in Documents and copied it to external drive after - too easy! Thank you and thanks to the people like you that give so freely. I recommend Opera if the subject arises. I'll recommend they download OSIE to go with it now.

Pesala can I ask you about/direct you to a previous unresolved issue I have? You did contribute to problem with dictionary and spell check - http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=837472 - but both still come up in Russian language when I right click.
I won't go into it here - would be O/T.

I m using Linux, Ubuntu 11.10 "The Oneiric Ocelot.
In Linux, I m finding "notes.adr" in the folder /home/name_user/.opera.
We can save this files if you want.
