You want to uncheck "apply rules only to new messages" on the options tab in the properties of the label.

"learn from labeled messages"
That option causes Opera to add/remove rules (hidden rules) to the label when you add/remove messages to/from the label. This means that if you add on message in there, any other messages that contain any word that's contained in the message you added to the label will automatically be added to the label. In other words, "learn from labeled messages" makes it so you have to train the label (like you train a spam filter). You'll get lots of false-positives for a a while that you'll have to right-click and choose "remove from view".
So, I'm not so sure you want to use this option. See <http://my.opera.com/operawiki/forums/topic.dml?id=1161762> for how to reset what a label has learned.
