[Request] Slidefunction for Tabs

Since my english is not the best, I try to explain what I mean with "Slidefunction for Tabs" :S :S (I really don't know how to call it the proper way =( )

If you open in Opera multiple tabs (like I do, see screenshot below), all the tabs which doesn't fit into the tab-bar will just disappear behind the tab-bar. They will show up when you close some tabs. In Firefox you have nice little arrows to scroll/slide through all open tabs in the tabbar and I miss this function in Opera.

Here is an Screenshot-Example what I mean:
http://666kb.com/i/bzbxbrmk9gqxixwv5.jpg

My Tabbar is located on the right side and my Windowstasbar on the left (same with Linux). I like it that way, because almost all websites are made for 15"-19" and I have a 22" Monitor. So why not to use the unused space wink

When I place my tabbar on top/bottom, all tabs are getting smaller, so you can see only the icon and can't on-klick close them. And if you have many Google-Tabs open, you see only the Google-Icon and can guess what the content is behind the tab =/

Example for many tabs on top/bottom: http://666kb.com/i/bzby4z89ut6bt4ntt.jpg

I know I can use favorites or use more often the group-tab function, but I like to access my information with as less clicks as possible. I use all my Tabs daily, so putting them somewhere else is not really an option for me.

Also an example: If I already have some tabs open and I need to look something up in google very fast, I open many tabs with possible solutions and browse through them and sometimes I open so many tabs that some disappear. But this is not critical, because I work from top to bottom and close every tab afterwards, so all "invisible" tabs will show up again. But it's still annoying = (

I hope I could explain you the problem and you will add this function soon.

Edit: Having changed my tabbar to make screenshots to explain you my problem, a double arrow appeared out of nowhere. When I press it, all my hidden tabs, also the hidden grouptabs, appear in a windows next to the tabbar.

Good idea which solves a little my problem. But why does it only appear after I change many times my tabbar? (See my first screenshot where you will not find that arrow)...

But still: Add an arrow, which will scroll through the tabs like in Firefox wink

Edit2: I don't like the double arrow. Now I have to click it every time I open/close a new tab, because I'm afraid I forgot to check one tab. But I see there only my hidden group-tabs -.-

Scrolling tabs is no more efficient than using the extender menu. If you need to open more tabs than will fit on the tab bar there are many other more efficient ways of working. Here's a few you can try:
  1. Disable wrapping of the tab bar in the Customise, Appearance, dialogue. Tabs will then shrink to fit (up to a point) before showing the extender menu. The minimum tab width can be changed by using a different skin (try mine) or by editing whichever skin you prefer.
  2. Place the tabs on the side of the window. On most monitors this will fit more tabs.
  3. Use tab-stacking. Drag related tabs on top of each other. Hover the tab stack to select tabs within it.
  4. When the tab bar is getting full, open another window. By grouping related tabs in a separate window, you can close the whole window at once.
  5. Disable the tab bar and use the Windows Panel instead
  6. Disable the tab bar and use the Tab Cycler: Ctrl Tab, or hold right mouse button down and use the scroll wheel

The request is not new, but probably less useful than the above methods. I don't use Firefox, but I do use PDF-XChange, which has the scroll buttons. I don't use it because it has a Quick Tabs feature like Internet Explorer. That would be a better improvement IMO.
