Help with search suggestions
Hello everybody and thanks in advance to anybody who reads my thread!I want to have search suggestions in the toolbar, as it is supposed to be supported in opera 11.60. I have enabled search suggestions from the preferences page. I have created many custom searches, some of which I am aware do not support search suggestions. But I know that is not the case with google for example. I also have opera 12 alpha running sometimes and even though I have the exact same settings in both versions, only opera 12 shows me search suggestions. Right now in Opera 11.60 I only get search suggestions for Wikipedia and my browsing history. Google does not give me suggestions, Amazon doesn't either, neither does eBay or Bing! I don't know what to do. I have cheched everywhere, I even copied the query settings for each custom search from opera 12 but still nothing happens. Any ideas?? Thank you so much for your time
You have to add suggest protocol & suggest URL to search engine by editing search.ini file inside profile directory.

First of all thank you for your reply! I'm afraid that I although I did that, I still don't get any suggestions from Google. do you have any other ideas?? Thank you once again for your time:) 
Well I kinda fixed it but it was only after I performed a COMPLETE un-install of Opera using Revo Uninstaller. Try it out, or try any other uninstaller for that matter. It scans for leftover files after you un-install applications. In my case, it seems that I had some leftover files from Opera 11.52 beta!!!! It's insane how stupid Windows are!! I then performed a clean install and now Opera is of course better than ever!
