11.60 e-mail interface
The e-mail view in vertical columns is one thing about 11.60 that is extremely disappointing. Instead of having the full width of the viewing area divided in half with a list of e-mail headers at the top and the content of a selected e-mail in the bottom half, there is now a vertical column with minimal information from the headers encroaching on the space for the actual message. The result is a cluttered presentation that adds nothing worthwhile. There seems to be little about the layout that can be altered by the user. Nothing in Opera:config seemed to allow reverting to the previous e-mail display.Naively I had configured Opera to update automatically, which it did with no warning that the file structure would be changed--again--allowing no possibility of going back to the highly satisfactory 11.52. From my viewpoint there is a definite downside to the change and no offsetting upside --there is nothing of value to me in the new version.
I have been an Opera user from early on. Sadly, with each revision the once user-friendly Opera is becoming more and more user-vicious.

The 'upgrade' message that popped up in your Unread view explained how you can change the mail window layout to suit your needs, among else going back to 'message below'. In short, use the 'Default Mail Settings' button (the one with the wrench icon, if you use the default skin).

What happened to Show Headers?
I used to be able to right click the email and check Show Headers and now I can't find a way to do that.
Anybody find a way to do that?

I've been using Opera as a default browser and email client for years, by now I've learned that every big new version is so full of bugs that you should wait couple of smaller releases before you do an upgrade. This time I had 11.52 installed recently after hardware problems so I haven't had the time to tweak all the settings, and, unfortunately, auto update was on. (Opera people, this should not be default!!!) When I saw 11.60, I immediately started googling for settings to get the email view to look as it was. There is no documentation! (Opera people, Mail Grouping Method set to 4 crashes the program...) By trial and error I've switched off grouped emails and noticed that sorting is broken. Then I tried to fix it in config, but it simply does not work (By default, folder is displayed with some of the recent emails at the bottom, regardless of sorting I've selected. When you reconfigure sorting, it displays ok, until you go to another folder and come back). So then I tried reverting to 11.52, but email accounts won't work because there is no backward compatibility! Now I'm stuck with 11.60 and frustrated. You guys do an excellent job, but please don't force new releases. Test them more, you are not helping anyone, especially your own reputation, by releasing the application which looks fancy and does not work.
