how to remove searchqu from toolbar

have been using all sorts of stuff to remove searchqu /bandoo from Opera toolbar .No success ! hides itsself as mng//dll or such . .. could some one please give a definitive solution . tried runapps Hijackthis still there ,and cant even find tools/general/ on page to try deletion that way ?
Some advice please ! GH.

You may want to check these threads in other forums to see the kind of things you may be up against in removing this. I'm guessing it's out of scope for Opera's forums since it's not an Opera problem, per se, but a system infiltration that happens to be attacking Opera (but it can attack other browsers as well).

I'd suggest asking for help in one of those forums or another reputable assistance forum for virus/spyware/nastyware removal to get some direct assistance in killing off this thing. A few users have been able to get it gone rather easily; most others have had a problem getting it out (as exampled in the links above)... probably the beast has multiple ways of embedding itself, depending on browser and machine settings.
Opera 12.14u (1738), 11.52 (1100) & 10.63 (3576) running on various Windows systems from Win7-64 down through KernelEx4-modified Win98FE (proof that reports of Win98's demise are greatly exaggerated).
