Bug Report: Ctrl-Enter w/ js submits to background tab (version 11.60)
Hi,This didn't occur in previous versions, at least, 11.01, but at some point in the last couple releases, this was broken (I held off on upgrading due to the inline image loading bug I reported, that was fixed in 11.60). I have provided a sample code page that demonstrates this bug in Opera 11.60:
http://www.d2jsp.org/opera1160ctrlEnterSubmitBug.htm
Basically, I have an event listener watching for "ctrl-enter" on the textarea to submit it, which mimics many apps send behavior (even Opera's mail client!), as well as Outlook, but, this bug hijacks the event, and thinks it is a mouse click, thus bumping the submitted page into a background tab. The submit button doesn't have focus (at least, prior to the js .click()), so this isn't a keyboard driven event that should ever make it load into a background tab.
I tried removing various hotkeys related to Ctrl-Enter, but nothing stopped this behavior (appears internal?) I don't want to disable ctrl-click -> background tab functionality.
Hoping this is just a small oversight that can be fixed in a near future release, or that there is some temp fix idea any of you may have (no, form.submit() is not possible for my particular page as a workaround at this time, knowing which button is submitted is essential for the form processing).
I have not yet submitted a bug report for this.
Thanks in advance!
