Menu appears garbled in 11.60

After updating to Opera 11.60 on my Windows 7 computer, the menu now appears garbled like so:

File Edit View Bookmarks Mail Tools Help

but some other letter is overlaid on top of the first letter of each menu item. I have a screen capture picture, but I don't know how to post it without uploading it to some URL first.

Perhaps a skin problem. If you use another skin, try with Standard Skin

I have Opera Standard skin selected. I even tried downloading the "Clean" skin. It also shows the same garbled menu.

See also this thread. I am not sure what the solution is. Try hiding the menu bar and use the Opera button menu. Does the ampersand show up there too?
