M2 enables "Labels" session when I select a mail message from yahoo/google groups

Hello
OS: Win 7 Pro SP1 x64
Opera 11.60 Final, clean install

Why does M2 create a new label (disabled by default) and automatically enable "Labels" session when I select a mail message from yahoo/google groups? This behavior is so annoying. I want "Labels" disabled all the time!
It's a bug? Any way to stops it?

M2 is creating a new label under the "Labels" access point or it's unhiding one that you've hidden?

Are you sure you're talking about a label and not a mailing list under the "Mailing Lists" access point?

Check the properties of the label, does it have any rules? On the IMAP tab in its properties, does it have a keyword set? If so, right-click on any messages in the label and choose "remove from view" before you delete the label.

This is with IMAP. correct?

M2 creates a new "Label", but it is hidden, M2 expands "Label" but it is empty.

Yeh, sounds like it. If you file a bug report, it'd probably help to send an mbs file (zipped up) of a message that triggers it.

Or, before you do that, you might want to log the connection, t rigger the problem and see if what the log shows about what keywords/flags are on the message.

I have a gmx IMAP account too, but don't see the problem. But, I only use the account for testing, so it doesn't get used a lot or have a lot of messages.

I can confirm the problem now btw. The hidden labels have the same name as the mailing view that's created under the "Mailing Lists" access point. the problem appears to be in the messages themselves and nothing with the IMAP server.

It's actually related to the bug Opera has where if you have a contact with multiple addresses, Opera creates labels for those addresses. Since the mailing lists properties function like a contact, they're affected by this bug *in some way*.

That bug (DSK-342776) isn't fixed yet.
