Help using opera

Hi,

Ok, I figured out how to open up a whole new window with out having the tab bars open up. So now my issue is this, I still want the tab bars to function... For example... If I wanted to search the site BRN, it opens up a new window instead of the tab now. I do not want a new window to open when I do searches on the web, I want the tabs to open..but I want to be able to open up a new window when I double click the opera icon on my desktop and still keep the function of the tabs... any help would be great.

We need to know which options you have selected. My guess is additional tab options, "Open windows instead of tabs" and that the tab bar is either off, or at the bottom, but set to Use only when needed (in the customise, appearance dialog).

Under the setting-preference-advanced-additional tab options I have open windows instead of tabs checked, but when I uncheck that it opens tabs and I am unable to open a new window when I need one open. That is the only option I messed with in opera, all other options are at default.

EDIT... Thanks for the reply, I can just start a new tab and drag that tab to desktop and it starts a new window, I can do that. I'm just used to clicking the web browser and having another window pop up.
