Opera email client tries to save contact list to networked drive
My opera email client(Windows 7, Opera 11.6) tries to save the contact list to a networked drive. When the networked computer is off-line, the save fails and the contact list is not updated. I've looked at opera:config#Hot%20List%20File%20Ver2 and can't see the networked drive listed anywhere, so I don't know why Opera insists on using that location to store the contact list. I've tried saving the list to a different location using Contact import and export from the settings menu. I can import contacts and they show up in the contacts panel. I an save them to another location on the computer. But Opera insists on using the network drive to save "new contacts"when opera closes and the contact list is always empty except for the trash item when Opera starts up. How to I get opera to start using the contacts.adr file in the Appdata/Roaming/Opera/Opera directory?Originally posted by johnsarsfield:

It should do that by default. But, fix the Address File path as suggested.
@sgunhouse
I had examined the opera#config looking for anywhere the Network Drive appeared. The mailbox address file showed the correct "Roaming/Opera/Opera" directory. I hit the default button anyway. Nothing appeared to change but restarting Opera from there solved the problem. Thanks.

Another way to make Opera use the default path for something is to close down Opera and delete the line for the setting in operaprefs.ini. (In a fresh profile for example, you'll see that operaprefs.ini has few paths in it.)
