where did the good old table-style listview of emails go? how can i change the lists of all folders of all accounts at once?
hey there, can anyone tell me why the other "11.60 email interface" - thread is closed? is opera going apple?
anyway.. this is not about any mobile-version of opera. this is desktop. where we have resolutions of 1920+ in the width. so why do the rows in the email list have to be two lines? i liked the table-view of the old email list, where i could sort on any field just by clicking on it. now sorting is hidden behind an extra click in some redundant extra popup menu. and even if i do it that way, why can't i sort by "sender" any more?
and: though i can turn off grouping and threaded view, i have to do that for all my email accounts and all my imap-folders?!? if there is a possibility to change that for all folders of all accounts at once, opera made a good job of hiding that functionality.
seriously, this apple-introduced usability-mania is killing flexibility. opera has been one of the last pieces of software that could combine a fair usability with total user-controlled flexibility. it seems that times are going to be over...

I take it you mean this one
It states quite clearly why it was closed.
Reason: Please use a descriptive title, and post in the right forum.
Opera 12.16 build 1860 Windows Vista Premium SP2

so i changed the title. hope it is descriptive enough.
sorry i can't move it to another forum. on other boards the moderators do not close a thread thats in the wront forum but just move it to the right one. please dont tell me, that this is in the forum rules. it is in every forums rules. it still happens. especially if the forum structure is not really logical. this thread (as well as the other one) are related to oprea for windows as much as they are related to opera mail. because opera mail is part of opera for windows, isn't it?
but i have to admit. i just found out about "about:config": opera has not lost it's flexibility! on the contrary!
sorry for that. but closing a thread because of the mentioned reasons is still a bit harsh i think...
